James Dillon Scholarship

About James Dillon

Captain James “Jimmy” Dillon proudly served the citizens of Miramar for 16 years until his tragic passing on January 10, 2006, while commuting to work. Throughout his distinguished career, he rose through the ranks to become a Captain. He also served as an instructor for Palm Beach State Fire College, where he dedicated himself to mentoring and educating future firefighters. Captain Dillon is survived by his wife, Diane, and their three sons, James II, Matthew, and David. His passion for service, leadership, and education continues to inspire others, and his legacy will live on through this scholarship.
